Converse University
About
Converse University empowers students to become transformative leaders who see clearly, decide wisely, and act justly. Converse was founded in 1889 by citizens of Spartanburg, SC, who aimed to create an educational experience for women, and in fall 2020 it welcomed its first undergraduate co-educational incoming class. The University encompasses the School of Humanities, Sciences, and Business; the School of the Arts; the School of Education and Graduate Studies; and the Converse College for Women.
Converse offers over 100 majors, minors, certificates, and graduate programs across two campuses (Spartanburg and Greenville) and online. Converse students are game-changers: leaders, creative thinkers, and doers who are looking for more from their college experience. Undergraduate Education majors include Art, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education. Masters programs include Master of Education (MEd) and Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT). Converse also offers Education Specialist (EdS) degrees and a doctorate (EdD) in Professional Leadership.

I could fit in by using my voice and sharing my experiences and culture with others and build relationships with people I would never have met.
