M.Ed. Innovation and Divergent Learning: The Innovation and Divergent Learning program offers alternative instructional methods and strategies to meet the needs of today's unique learners. You will learn new methods for delivery of instruction in the classroom, new ways of reaching reluctant learners, and how adverse experiences impact learners and teachers alike.

The program utilizes in-person and online communication, collaborative learning, peer support groups, and applied experiential learning, resulting in a research project tailored to you. This program has a weekend/online blended format. It is 33 semester hours, which you can complete in one year.

M.Ed. Trauma-Informed Education: The Trauma-Informed Education program will give you an understanding of how childhood trauma, mental health and poverty impact students’ ability to learn. You will be equipped to establish trauma-sensitive practices in your classroom and to promote changes both school-wide and district-wide.

Historically, educators and social workers train separately and do not have opportunities to collaborate and learn how both professions impact one another. Current nationwide statistics show an increase in the prevalence of childhood trauma, mental illness, and poverty rates in PreK-12th grade. The M.Ed. in Trauma-Informed Education blends education and the helping professions to prepare educators, school counselors, administrators, and daycare workers for the diverse needs of students.
